I have today off and I planned on spending the whole afternoon writing as I currently have limited computer time. Of course I sit down and can’t think of anything so I have decided to write about my writers block. I tend to get writers block when I’m stressed and when the weather starts to get warm.
Currently I have both problems so I’m really just ecstatically screwed, but I will have to find a way out of it. I do have a ton of book reviews to do, but you don’t want to read just book reviews do you? I feel the same, if you wanted that you would be on a book blog. So I thought about what might interest you, my readers.
I got nothing. Sad right?
I realized I don’t talk much with my readers and I don’t know why. I am a friendly person, but I think here on this blog I just kind of lost me. I am more about making money then anything and since I can’t write often I’m not able to make anything and my day job does not pay the bills. So again I’m stressed and have no idea what to write about.
I have been a blogger for almost 10 years and this is the first time I have had this issue, maybe it’s because I’m older now and people my age want to read about kids, I don’t have any and I want them so when I start reading blogs from friends and others my age I get depressed.
That does not help the writers block.
I guess my question to you my readers is this. Should I even continue this blog the way it is?
Jenny Carpenter is the unrivaled pie-baking champion of Last Chance, South Carolina’s annual Watermelon Festival and the town’s unofficial spinster. With her dream of marriage and children on hold, she focuses on another dream, turning the local haunted house into a charming bed-and-breakfast. But her plans go off course when the home’s former owner shows up on her doorstep on a dark and stormy night . . .
Mega-bestselling horror writer Gabriel Raintree is as mysterious and tortured as his heroes. His family’s long-deserted mansion is just the inspiration he needs to finish his latest twisted tale, or so he thinks until he learns it’s been sold. The new innkeeper proves to be as determined as she is kind, and soon Gabriel finds himself a paying guest in his own home. As Jenny and Gabe bring new passion to the old house, can she convince him to leave the ghosts of his past behind-and make Last Chance their first choice for a future together?
This is one of my favorite series of books. They can all be read alone, but you get the most out of it reading from the first book to the last. The Inn at last chance brings another background character to light as we get to know Jenny Carpenter. She has just bought a new inn only to have the previous owner show up wanting to buy it back. This sets off the wrong type of fireworks between the two, but leads to the right type of fireworks and a wonderful insight into a background story that has started to appear in the other last chance books.
As with the other books I really enjoyed reading the Inn at last chance. If you like the idea of small town charm and the noisy people that charm brings then this is a book for you.

I have been spending a lot of time on my kindle as my computer is still dead and I still don’t have money to get a new one. I would have the money if congress would pass the unemployment extension as I am due a bit of cash, I only need $200 to fix my computer so it’s not much, but since with my part time job I only make $800 a month I barely cover my bills and don’t have the extra money to buy a hard drive and a new windows system.
I’m not complaining about that part though. I could easily put aside a few dollars each paycheck and have a working laptop in a year or so. Yep a year. I don’t make anything! I took a low paying job because I want to work. I’m hoping that maybe I can continue to get some unemployment for a while longer so that I can pay off some things and pay back a lot of the late fees I had when I was not making money.
Congress really needs to realize that most people on unemployment want to work! They did not quit their jobs because they just felt like it. They were laid off, fired or had circumstances that required them to leave their job. My situation was I had a 4 hour daily drive to a 12 hour job. I put in a transfer and they denied it. Unemployment decided I deserved unemployment. I didn’t have a choice, the drive and the job were causing health problems. At the age of 30 they thought I had a heart attack. I didn’t want to leave, but I couldn’t see myself doing that drive any longer and staying sane. Because they couldn’t transfer me I was forced to leave.
Now most on unemployment did not quit their jobs, most lost them due to downsizing and it’s hard to find work right now. Boehner is one of the problem makers, he believes that the unemployed don’t want to work and that extending benefits will only make them stay home. Guess what that is not the case. I love that republicans want democrats to come up with ways to create jobs, Why can’t the republicans do it. They have a few ideas, these ideas will increase pollution, give the wealthy more money with no insurance that they will create new jobs. The best thing both parties can do is pass both the Unemployment extension bill and the minimum wage increase as many people would then be able to support themselves on minimum wage and they would make MORE working then on their unemployment.
Another thought is to pass this extension but limit how long someone can stay on it. You get a year and a half total, but for every extension you get you have to look for 2 more jobs a week or something. Make people look for work. That will help with the ones who are lazy. Make them show if they have had an interview. If they have not been called in for an interview there should be an investigation as to if they are really looking.
Oh wait, this would mean more work for the unemployment departments, or maybe, just maybe they could hire a couple more people?
No that would fix the problem right?
What do you think about all of this?
THE THRONE OF ENGLAND IS AT STAKE!
Anne of Stamford has long been the keeper of her mistress’s secrets, but when Lady Joan marries the king’s son, court life becomes ever more perilous. Sir Nicholas Lovayne has arrived to uncover the truth about Lady Joan’s past, and Anne must do something—anything—to throw him off….
Longing to escape the intrigues at court, Nicholas hasn’t counted on the way Anne distracts him—her refusal to accept pity for her clubfoot touches something deep inside him. Will he be able to follow his duty when every fiber of his being tells him to protect Anne?
A hint of scandal this way comes!
This was a very fun book to read as you know little about why Ann is hiding anything, but you know there is a reason, the rest of the characters do not. It’s really a fun read that is set is such a wonderful era.
What I love most is that Ann is not a normal women, she has some physical limitations, something that most people during this time had to deal with on their own and not in a pleasant way. People with limitations of any sort were looked down on, mostly homeless and many did not live very long. This adds something more to this story that makes you feel so much more for Ann, not in a sympathetic way, but you admire her strength even more.
This is a wonderful book for anyone who likes an historical setting. This is not a romance book though and really the story focuses more on Ann and her learning that she is so much more then she thought she could ever be.

So my laptop is officially dead. It’s been a struggle to get things done without it, but I am doing what I can. I bought another laptop from walmart, it was only $50 bucks and of course I get the only one without a hard drive! Yes this is my luck and the sad part is I stopped hoping for better luck. I just have to give in to the fact that bad things will always happen to just me. (not really but you get my meaning) My next new laptop will be bought at best buy as I have never had a problem with computers I have gotten there, except that I spilled tea on one and the other was stolen.
It not too expensive to buy a new drive and I’m keeping the laptop because it’s in better shape then my old one, but now I have to buy windows 8 and it’s more then I have to spend right now. Eventually I will get it, but if anyone knows where to get it cheap let me know because I need the full thing and don’t have $100 right now.
Other then that nothing really new to report. I have started working out again this week as my doctor keeps upping my diabetes medications and talking about insulin. I know I will gain weight with insulin so I’m going to work my butt off (something I need to do anyway) to keep my blood sugar down. It was so much fun to zumba again and I don’t care what people say the Wii Zumba is a good workout, but you have to put your all into it.
David, Viscount Fairly, has imperiled his honor…

Award-winning New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Grace Burrowes’s extraordinary writing will immerse you in a Regency world unlike any you’ve experienced.
My Review of David
I really enjoyed this book. Not only do you love how David and Letty interact, but I love that there is so much more to both David and Letty’s characters that bring such twist and turns to this romance. I really had no idea where this story was going until close to the end and for me that makes an amazing read and a fun get a away time.
If your looking for a book that is a bit different from other romance books. A book with well developed characters and a plot that leaves you wondering what strange turn it’s going to take next then this is the book for you!
