Swago Winter Wonderland Edition!!!

card592

It’s winter!! Officially the coldest time of year, but I love January winter because it’s a time to enjoy the snow without the stress of the holidays. It’s also time for you to unwrap your SB bonus this season courtesy of Swagbucks. This month’s Winter-themed Swago board offers a possible 300 SB ($3) Bonus!

What is SWAGO you ask? It’s a bingo-inspired promotion run by Swagbucks, a website that rewards you with points (called SB) for completing everyday online activities. When you complete a task, watch that square change colors. You can then redeem those SB for free gift cards. If you’ve never used Swagbucks, participating in SWAGO is a great way to learn how to use the site, and it’s a lot of fun!

Here’s what you need to know to get your 300 SB Bonus:

  • Swago will begin on Monday, January 16th at 9:01am PDT/12:01pm EDT, make sure you hit “Join” otherwise you won’t get credit for completing the action items. Each square on your Swago Board will contain an action item to complete.
  • Once you complete the action item in a particular square the square will change color signifying the action item is complete.
  • You have a limited amount of time to mark off as many squares as possible so use your time wisely.
  • Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses located on the right of your Swago Board. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value.
  • Once you’ve achieved a pattern the corresponding “Submit” button will light up. You can have multiple patterns available for submission, however, you can only submit ONE pattern so choose wisely.
  • The game ends Monday, January 23rd at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT. So make sure to hit “Submit” on the pattern you wish to submit. If you don’t hit “Submit” before the game ends you won’t receive your SB bonus.

In Defiance Book Tour and Review

NEW RELEASE….
Author John W. Mefford introduces Ivy Nash in the second series of the Redemption Thriller Collection.

A volatile hostage situation at a foster home reaches a bitter end: shots are fired, some die, some live to tell a sordid tale. In the midst of the anguish and confusion is one child who will bear the scars of this unbelievable turmoil.

As a special investigator for Child Protective Services, Ivy Nash lives by one rule: she’ll do anything to fight for the wellbeing of children. Anything. Something that was never done for her. As a “system” kid, she spent time in seventeen foster homes. Seventeen.

Very quickly, the facts of the case are blurred…accusations of sibling abuse, connections to drugs. Nothing lines up, and authorities want it all to go away. Their target? A ten-year-old boy. Unrelenting in her pursuit to find the truth, Ivy and her new friend Cristina uncover alarming new information to pinpoint who is at the root of the crime.

But evil knows no boundaries. Shockwaves of her most horrific childhood memories erupt into the present, and Ivy knows that she’s in the fight for her life.

My Review of In Defiance.

I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I was so excited to read this book. I love the Alex Troutt Series and was really looking forward to reading this new series. The good news is I was not dissapointed!

What I love most about this series is that Ivy is a system kid. I grew up with friends from foster homes and so many think that they can not amount to anything, but here is a role model for all of them, yes she is fictional, and yes this is not a book for kids, but I have and will continue to recommend it to older teens and young adults.

On to the book! I really enjoyed the twist and turns in this book. It’s a escape from reality that makes you think, makes you wonder and completely proves you wrong. I really recommend this book to anyone who loves a good thriller. I am really looking forward to the next book!

Part of the Redemption Thriller Collection which includes the Alex Troutt Thrillers and the upcoming Ivy Nash Thrillers. While all of the novels can be read as a stand-alone, there is a connecting thread in the Redemption Thriller books that will be unveiled over time. For a more fulfilling reading experience, books should be read in order: Alex Troutt, and then Ivy Nash. More series will be added into the collection within the next year.

Time to Recover from Holiday Shopping

card589

Did you find yourself spending a little more than you had anticipated over the Holidays? I know I did and I’m still trying to figure out how to catch up! It’s easy to overspend at the holidays, especially when you want to give all your friends and family the perfect gifts. Well, I have an easy way for you to recover from your holiday spending from the convenience of your cell phone.
Swagbucks is the web’s most popular rewards program that gives you free gift cards and cash for the everyday things you already do online. Whenever you shop, watch videos or search the web, Swagbucks gives you points called SB. You can use your SB to redeem gift cards to hundreds of your favorite stores.

With the Swagbucks Mobile and SBTV apps I can use my spare minutes to earn free gift cards on my phone! Like the Swagbucks website, I can rack up SB by shopping, answering surveys and watching videos.

While you wait for the coffee to brew, download free games and other apps through the Discover tab: 20 SB

During commercial breaks, take a featured survey or fill out your survey profile: 60 SB

While standing in line at the grocery store, answer the daily poll: 1 SB

When you’ve finally made it to the gym, watch style, tech and celeb news through the SBTV app: 2 SB for every 10 videos

Just as you’ve put dinner in the oven, your Swagbucks app tells you there’s a new Swag Code!: 3 SB

Before you go to sleep, use the Swagbucks app to shop from your favorite stores. You deserve it!: 100 SB

By downloading the Swagbucks mobile app, I can earn a free $10 gift card by the end of my week. Who knew playing on my phone could be so productive!

Invite your friends to download the Swagbucks Mobile app so they can start earning their way to free gift cards. It’s 100% free to download and 100% easy to use. Its available for both iPhone and Android devices.

Start the New Year with a New Home Based Business

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of TeeChip.Com for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Picture this, you are sitting at home and you can’t go anywhere, you can’t do anything, but you want to. You want to work, but you can’t because you have a disability that keeps you from being able to make it though a workday or get to work in the first place.

That is one reason I love that the internet is available to anyone and there are so many things you can do to create an income or at least be able to feel like you are contributing to your own finances or society. One of my best friends has Cerebral Palsy and even though she has worked in the past, after having her first child she has noticed that she is having more complications. She wants to work, she wants to contribute. Now I think I have found something that she may be interested in and I really wanted to share this new program with you.

The company is TeeChip and they allow people to work from home making customization products. I love this as my friend and I have talked many times about her doing something like this. She has so many fun, funny and cute quotes about being disabled that she would love to put on shirts or mugs or something!

Another reason I love TeeChip is that they also have a program to donate their products that don’t quite work out, maybe they printed to many or they were not quite the quality they would like them to be, but still wearable or usable. They take these products and donate them to charities to help people get clothing and items. It’s wonderful and has made me think a bit more about signing up with them myself, maybe my friend and I will have to go into business together!

Take a look at this company, do you know someone who may benefit from what they have to offer?

Depression During the Holidays: How to Help

window-view-1081788_1920

This is a time of year that is very difficult for people with depression. I myself suffer and find that each year in November I am excited for the holiday, but then December hits and I plummet down. I am not the only one, but for those who suffer it’s sometimes a private battle, that people don’t notice.

There are many signs of depression, one is that they stop talking to you, if you notice someone you care about is not calling you, or not hanging out anymore, it may be depression, not that they hate you.

You may also notice them acting out instead, they may be trying to over compensate to get over their feelings, but really they are struggling inside and they don’t want anyone to know. This is the hard one to pinpoint and usually the most likely to try to cause themselves harm.

Many depressed people turn to alcohol, and drugs, these are also serious issues and these people need help.

There are many things you can do to help someone who is depressed, first make the contact, even if they don’t respond, keep letting them know you care. It can be hard to keep in touch like this, but if this is your friend or family member you need to make the effort, trust me, sometimes a simple good morning can help lift a depressed persons mood.

Invite them to things, but also try to get together one on one. Many times depressed people also have anxiety and big parties are not the great idea you may think it is. Keep things small if you notice your loved one is not coming to the big events you plan.

Disclosure: I am not a doctor, these tips are tips I have found that help me and people I know with depression.
