Until last month I had been with blue host for over 10 years. I was content, I thought the downtime and the bumps I was experiencing was normal. I started to checkout out other options and website reviews, then I saw a pattern, blue host was not reliable and it wasn’t just me. Now for small sites they are great and inexpensive, but I didn’t want to be a small site anymore and I knew that in order to surpass where I once was with my blogging I needed to find something else. It was then that I found Site Ground while searching for the best web hosting for WordPress.
I was excited to check it out after all of the reviews so I signed up and I am so happy I did. I had decided to move from two blogs down to one and figured I may as well make the move now. That way if I liked it I could just close my other account. With the purchase of a hosting account Site Ground will move one domain over for free. It was a simple process and I was very happy with the result. Their customer service was amazing. My only issue was a small one with my email, once I contacted support they fixed the problem right away.
When I did have to contact support I was able to get a hold of someone quickly. My wait times where under 10 seconds and they resolved me issues quickly. I only have had two things to contact them about, one was my email issue, the other was lowering my hosting services to the cheapest hosting they had. I got the highest level to try out the service and decided I did not need everything in the top hosting plan. In fact I’m not ready for their second option either. I figure I can always upgrade later.
Moving my hosting to Site Ground was the best choice for me. I have been growing my blog over the last month and I have never had downtime, I have never had an issue, I am getting the same amount of traffic I was to my blog now as I did when I was at my blogging peak 9 years ago. I’m thrilled because instead of dealing with my blog crashing or other hosting issues I am spending time promoting my blog.
My site is also loading super fast compared to before. I did everything I could to speed my site up. Though my efforts helped, I still felt my site was very slow. I also was at the mercy of other people and what they were doing with there sites. I have yet to have any issue with Site Ground and other sites effecting my own.
Now I will say that Blue host was not horrible I was after all with them for 10 years, but things change in that time and I felt a move was best for me. Blue host uses a lot of outside programs where Site Ground uses in house programs to help make my site better. I love that they want to make sure they offer the best service by keeping it all in house.
Starting a new blog is a lot of work and worry. You have no idea what you are doing and your thinking there is no way I can do this. The good news is with Site Ground you can. When I started blogging I had to deal with all the problems on my own. If a WordPress plug in did not work with another and I got the “white screen of death” I had to deal with it. I had to hope I had a backup and hope I could figure out how to fix it. With Site Ground all hosting accounts get free managed WordPress hosting, that means that they will do everything for you. They will upgrade your plugins, backup your blog and if you have the go big or go Geek plans you get even more!

Really I am very happy so far with site ground, it has only been a month and I will be back after 6 months to do another review and let you know how and if I still love it as much as I do now.
It has been almost a year since I made the switch to Site Ground web hosting. I have to say I am very happy I made the switch. With my past host I would have had at least 10 instances of downtime on my blog. This year I have not had any!
Their customer service is also amazing and very helpful. I have only had to reach out twice, but only to get information about upgrades and other options they have. I have not had any other issues. That is why I still recommend them for an amazing web host.
