Weight Loss Journey

Today I got on the scale and knew it was not going to be pretty. I could feel that I hadn’t lost anything. I had hoped I was wrong, but as you can see from below I was not. Though how I managed to get the exact same reading I have no idea.

This week I went back to doing my Zumba workouts but only two days ago, so I’m not surprised I didn’t lose weight. I am trying to lose weight to control my diabetes and doing the yoga was helpful in other ways, it was not helping me control my diabetes and I ended up having to take a ton of insulin again.

The good news is I’ve been eating well, so with the more intense workout I hope to start seeing a change on the scale soon. If I don’t I’m going to have to figure out what is going on, though without health insurance I may not be able to. Either way I’m going to keep trying, keep going and keep motivated.

I will do this.

  1. Awesome Holly. Keep eating clean, and those Zumba workouts will help you feel better. Key to remember that the scale alone can deceive because muscle is heavier than fat, and as your body comp changes, the number may not drop, and may rise.

    • I keep reminding myself of that each week I don’t see a change or it goes up. I try to look at how my clothing feels and how I feel more then the scale number.
